Ice Breaker – Star Wars

May 1, 2015 — 8 Comments

Each week on The Stretched Blog, I ask an ice breaker question. The questions are designed to help us get to know each other here in The Stretched Community. I’ll provide my answer to the question here in the post, and then you can leave your response in the comments. While you’re in the comments section, see how others answered the ice breaker question.

(I’m always looking for Ice Breaker question ideas.  If you have an idea, send me an email at  If I use your question, I’ll give you credit and share your links.)

May The Fourth is rapidly approaching which means my Mom will be celebrating another birthday and many will be celebrating Star Wars Day (May the Fourth be with you!).  Today’s Ice Breaker is inspired by Star Wars and the recent announcement of the latest addition to the Star Wars saga coming in December.  (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, see the trailer below.)

Question:  Who is your favorite Star Wars character?  Which upcoming movie are you most looking forward to seeing?

My Answer:  I’ve always liked Luke Skywalker.  He’s not perfect, but he seems to represent what is right in this world.  As for an upcoming movie, I looking forward to seeing the latest Star Wars movie in December and the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie coming in March 2016.

Here are trailers to both movies:

Answer this week’s ice breaker question by leaving a comment. I look forward to reading your response! (As always, feel free to share links.) And keep Stretching!

  • Boba Fett… I’ve always liked the bounty hunter. His costume was sweet and he kicked butt and then took names.

R2 for sure. I know they are just bleeps and chirps, but you know that if you translate what R2 is saying he is the funniest character in the film. Plus R2 is resourceful and will get you out of a jam.

    • Very true. R2 is the Macgyver of droids.

  • Vader. I know he’s dark. But the redemption theme grabs me every time. My ring tone is the Imperial Death March.

    • My whole impression of Vader changed after watching the first three movies. I love the redemption story that flows through his storyline.

    • He’s one of the funniest characters in the whole series.

  • Not sure I have a favorite character. But I looking forward to seeing both of those movies.
