Partial Perspective

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

I Corinthians 13:8-13

We don’t always have the full picture.  We can only see part of it sometimes.  “When completeness comes”, we will know in full.  We will know God’s love!

What are you looking at today?  Do you see the full picture?  Or are you just seeing part of it?

Today, I’m hooking up with The Sunday Community.  Hop on over here to see what I’m talking about.

Of course I am only seeing part of it, but, oh, the promise!

Thanks for stopping by JoAnne. Isn’t the promise great?!

I do the best I can to see as much as He is laying on me for ministry towards/for others. But, being a “person” with a personal perspective… EHH! Ain’t never perfectly done/seen. But always tryin’.

Trust – it’s not always easy, but sometimes we have to trust that the Bigger picture is far better than what we can see from our perspective.
